The Finch Company, located in Pittston, PA, has been serving the machinery manufacturing industry since 1855. During the 1880’s between ninety and one hundred persons worked at the business. At full capacity the plant employed two hundred people, and was one of the leading industries in the city of Scranton. In 1893 the Finch Manufacturing Company was incorporated.
Wendell August Forge, located in Grove City, has been a regional "heirloom" since 1923. Its roots started in decorative iron work, evolving into aluminum and other metals in the 1930s. Its fine, hand-finished giftware sells in many of America's finest department stores. Over the years, Wendell August Forge established a world-wide following through its catalogue and e-commerce sales.
Bergen Industries is a 100 year old company located in Northeast Pennsylvania. Bergen provides steel mold parts and complete molds to the concrete block and paver markets. It is one of only 3 North American businesses that provide such parts and molds. All parts are elaborate assemblies of machined steel. As such, the business is a large metal working shop that manufacturers the parts by machining, welding, heat treating, and grinding purchased steel.
For the past forty years, Datum Filing Systems has led the way in innovative filing solutions for its customers. One of the company’s first products was a desktop organizer for names, addresses, and phone numbers that the owner designed in his basement. Currently, Datum’s product line includes diverse shelving systems, mobile filing units, LAN and security filing systems, and customized storage units. In 2001, the company built a brand new 120,000 square foot facility in York County to accommodate continued success fueled by the addition of new product lines.

Experienced and highly skilled craftsmen produce the individual modules in a controlled factory environment that are shipped to and assembled at the building site.
Down East Fabrication is currently Central Pennsylvania’s leading fabricator of DuPont™ Corian®, DuPont™ Zodiaq®, Natural Granite and Cambria Quartz surfaces.
Down East Fabrication saw a major decline in business the result of the residential building collapse. SEWN developed a financial forecasting tool and met with the owner and his bank. These activities resulted in an increase in the line of credit, with the bank giving the company the needed working capital.
