Durabuilt Custom Homes creates a beautiful, durable, structurally superior, and inherently green home customized for the home buyer, for their particular lifestyle and budget. Experienced and highly skilled craftsmen produce the individual modules in a controlled factory environment that are shipped to and assembled at the building site.
This Snyder County modular home manufacturer of single and multi-family homes was the former Modular Structures, then MSI Plus. A local investment group purchased Modular Structures with a combination of equity funds, and state and SEDA-COG financing. The new ownership sought to upgrade the equipment used throughout the company.
SEWN reviewed the current financial status of MSI Plus, developed a cost estimating tool, prepared a cash forecast model, and upgraded the company’s accounting system and pricing model. Additionally, SEWN worked with the Mifflin County IDA to prepare a financial restructuring package that included SBA 504 monies and PIDA financing to alleviate the company’s cash flow issues.
With its new financial tools, Durabuilt Custom Homes re-hired 25 former employees.
