Northeastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center launches job board

By: Melina Druga, Pennsylvania Business Report

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center (NEPIRC), a nonprofit organization providing professional services to manufacturers, recently launched a job board to connect job seekers to manufacturing firms.

According to the organization, the board is intended for the northeastern, central, and northern tier of Pennsylvania and is the region’s first manufacturer job board.

Currently, more than 60 manufacturers are offering more than 1,000 listings.

“With over 60 companies across seven counties already participating in this effort, and more joining in every day, there’s a manufacturing career opportunity for everyone and every skill level – from first-job applications to experienced professionals with industry certifications,” Eric Joseph Esoda, NEPIRC president and CEO, said. “NEPIRC’s regional manufacturer job board is free to our area’s industrial firms, convenient for job seekers, and consistent with our mission of maximizing the growth, resiliency, and strength of our area’s most significant economic driver – manufacturing.”

NEPIRC created the job board after receiving feedback at manufacturer roundtables. It is designed to simplify how job seekers find, evaluate and apply for manufacturing jobs.

The organization plans to promote the job board on social media, traditional media, and through videos. It will update the board when new job opportunities are added or filled.
